18 years ago, Alison Scott, my co-leader and I decided to offer seasonal singing workshops in beautiful locations suitable for our workshops in the north of England. We looked hard to find venues with the right combination of atmosphere and stunning countryside - they needed to be good for the soul as well as for singing together. 

 

We struck gold with the Quaker Meeting House in Mosedale; a little stone-built oasis of calm in a small hamlet nestled beneath Carrock Fell in Cumbria, and latterly with Ingram Village Hall tucked away in a peaceful, isolated valley next to the tumbling River Breamish in Northumberland. Both venues have hosted us beautifully over the years and our singers return time and time again to take part.

Soup and Sing gatherings offer the chance to step off the world and take a break in picturesque and peaceful surroundings. You will learn new songs, laugh, share and eat (very) well in the company of like-minded people. 

Regardless of your experience, we guarantee a friendly reception from our warm and loyal participants, who are hell bent on having a good time! 

 

Alison and I would love you to come and sing with us. Our events are relaxed and friendly and have become markers of the passing year for us - and for our Soup & Singers.

 

Sessions take place at the weekend and run from 5pm to 9pm.
